  1. I do apologize in advance if this blog is not the appropriate forum for the following question, but I am not sure where else to pose this. My husband and I just purchased (for a very modest price) two Philippe Starck Cafe Costes Chairs. Either this dealer didn’t realize what these chairs are, or they are replicas. I know that the ‘official’ manufacturer is Driade for the Costes Chair, but there doesn’t seem to be a mark or label anywhere on the chairs themselves. They appear to be of very high quality and the materials used are the same listed for the chairs that are still in production. Can you suggest a method for verifying authenticity?
