The CONTOUR CHAIR is a beautiful and elegant and the character of the material is wonderfully expressed. The chair looks to be comfortable. As for his ‘HOCKEY PUCK’ chairs they look very contrived and are diminished by facile complexity. I suspect that the jigging for these chairs is visually more interesting than the chairs.
My guess is that Knoll Furniture probably lost their “Ancillary Support System” on this commission. No harm done though since they probably got a juicy tax write off.
